Your north node is where your challenge in this lifetime lies and where you suppose to learn your biggest lessons. Your south node is where everything comes easy to you and that which you take for granted. Since your north node lies in your seventh house of partnerships; this means partnerships will always be a source of upheaval for you, a real challenge. Your tendency will always be to fall back on your south node which lies in your virgo first house of self. You will have a constant battle between fulfilling your needs and those of your partner. Balance is needed. To make matters more complicated, a pisces seventh house means you will be attracted to partners that are overtly sensitive and with tendencies to martyr. Knowing this may help you to better reasess all of your significant relationships so both your needs are equally fulfilled.
From the report on this site: “Your need to be with other people may become the most important focus of your life. Ideally, you would like to find some one sympathetic person with whom you can spend your entire life. The idea of the “significant other” will dominate much of your early life until you find him or her. But once you do make a commitment, be careful not to become totally swallowed up by the other person’s personality and needs. Remember that you, too, have important private and personal needs that must be satisfied if you’re to continue to feel like a whole person. A little enlightened selfishness can make you a more balanced individual. ”
According to Frances Sakoian and Louis Acker in their The Astrologer’s Handbook (HarperResource Book) :“North Node opposition Ascendant indicates good fortune through partnerships and public relations, and, if well-aspected, through marriage. Although natives are personally detached from the prevailing social trends by virtue of having the South Node conjunct their Ascendant, they are able to view objectively the workings of these popular attitudes in their partners and the public at large, and use this understanding to advantage in relating to them.
On the negative side, there can be deliberate manipulation by others, who play upon their social conditionings. The natives do not go out of their way to conform to accepted modes of social behavior. This attribute makes for strong individualism but not for popularity. At times these people are very serious in manner and can make anyone who expects overt signs of sociability feel uneasy. They are also subject to periodic moods of personal inhibition. The natives tend to be short in stature and somewhat dwarfish in appearance. They occasionally have speech peculiarities as well."
It’s interesting what Bernice Grebner in her Lunar Nodes: New Concepts observed with this aspect (sounds little radical to me):
“This gives an unusual appearance to the body. The square or opposition to the Ascendant is bad for the health. There is, also, a negative aspect to the personality. South Node conjunct the Ascendant gives a very short or a very tall stature – seldom average.”
