Venus-Black Moon conjunction: Black Moon adds depth and originality to Venus. On one level, the combination can be excellent. Venus has several wonderful sides, but by itself can sometimes be superficial. From that point of view, it can only benefit from the exacting influence of Black Moon, and of its need for ideal, absolute and perfection. This can lead to powerful realisations, not only in the field of arts, but also in several other professional activities – provided they can be an outlet for your creativity. (Black Moon does enhance the creative side of Venus. In many cases, it also adds a metaphysical dimension to it.) Because the need for perfection can be extreme, you must make sure that it does not become paralysing (as in the case of people who prefer to refrain from relationships rather than being with someone who is not the absolute perfect match, or people who prefer to create nothing rather than run the risk of creating something imperfect). Venus, planet of desire, can also be taken deep down into the unconscious realms of Black Moon -Lilith. Thus Venus – Black Moon aspects have a number of points in common with Venus – Pluto aspects. At their maximum, they can lead to devouring desires and passions. They can also cause the native to be magnetically attracted to dangerous people or situations. In particular, carefully watch who enters your life at the time of a return of Lilith (transiting Black Moon conjunct to native Black Moon). The person is likely to move something deep in your unconscious mind and have a profound impact on your belief system and your values, which could result in significant changes in your life.
I think my homosexuality is mostly due to my Venus-Dark Moon Lilith conjunction, as this supposedly creates a “denial” of anything feminine. Weirdly enough, I am in love with women, I completely admire everything they represent, their nature, archetypes, everything.
I see Lilith as the wild feminine, and so with Venus it affects one’s value system and how one relates to others. Also what kinds of people are valued and are desired to be around. Since we live in a society that is afraid of Lilith and unsure how to honor the wild feminine within people and the natural world (look at how we treat the Earth, as an example), Lilith with Venus can seem a really hard row to hoe, emotionally.
The trick is to honor Lilith within yourself not as a demon or something to be feared, but as the natural wild – which cannot at times be controlled, and which is a bit erratic in its natural state. Honor this within you and you’ll be able to attract others who can hang with Lilith and not demonize her (=you!). Also, you have to be willing to say “no thank you” to others who try to control you or shame you for being your natural, wild self.
When I talk about wild, I mean that your animal nature and instinct are honored. We’re taught that whatever the mind cannot control is bad, and this is why Lilith gets a bad rap. The truth is that without our lower chakras, we’re less than alive! So we need the visceral, physical, hot, passionate edge that Lilith brings in us when healthy.
Regarding the wild of Lilith, with Venus she brings an intense sense of what other people are really about, regardless of how they are on paper. Your sense of smell and your chakras will suss out people’s true motivations. It’s super important for you to honor your visceral read of people – trust your instinct no matter what someone says about him- or herself.
Peace to you, Tom Jacobs
Hi Mike, Sure. I mean instinct and information that comes from/through the body. Breaking down masculine and feminine independent of gender, masculine does and feminine is. We spend a lot of time in our heads and letting mind run things, which opens the door for the masculine side of us (regardless of gender) to try to shape, direct, and control our experience. But there’s more to us than minds. Our bodies are always reacting to what our minds are choosing.
The “wild feminine” I refer to in a person generates the changeable and changing feedback from instinct about what is happening in our lives. One way to look at this through Lilith is that our bodies are constantly giving us feedback about our choices. What foods we eat, what people we want to interact with, how we feel about our work and everything else – the physical body communicates how our experiences and choices work for us. Last week I released a book called “Lilith: Healing the Wild” that tells the whole story through myth/archetype and the astrology of Lilith. It’s available through my site tdjacobs.com, Amazon, Kindle, and elsewhere if you’re interested. Peace, Tom
According to Delphine Gloria Jay in her outstanding Interpreting Lillith, with this aspect “the individuality can never be totally surrendered in relationships. They can appear totally related itoa situation or interested in the person they are they are temporarily in contact with in one way, while at the same time being detached from the whole thing in another. They are impersonally involved and gracious, but not personally involved and affected.”
I see people so relatively pleased with the Black Moon conjunct to Venus, I wonder in what planet they were born, Lilith will obfuscate, obliterated and obsessed with work, love, sex and properties at the time where all the chances you will have are misleading. Nothing good is going to come out of it, nothing endurable and if you praise after years of this particular time is because you survived and after a lot of work you, hopefully, recovered.
While you will believe under this transit that you have the power and knowledge to control and profit your dark side you will discovered that you had been just another soul lured by the magic flute of Lilith who nurtured from your pain.
Not everything that glitters is gold and trust me, you are not in any stairway to Heaven.
