This transit can bring some strange but mild suffering. You have difficulties recognizing who truly loves you. And this comes with extremes, where you become either overly enthusiastic or where you can’t see love where love is (well almost) obvious. It’s a very deep spiritual lesson in this. Vertex is as significant as the North Node. But with NN you look at your own progress, while with Vertex you’re looking at the mutual potential and progress. I’d say just make sure to show love in one way or another, with small gestures maybe, and watch how you can actually “control” the situation by receiving more love without actually rationally needing to know about it. Just let yourself flow a little bit more. If this is possible will depend on how “busy” you Neptune is in the natal chart, and the same for Vertex. I have a feeling your Vertex is conjunct something.
my vertex loosely squares my mars in taurus…
According to Alice McDermott, “Transits, Solar Arcs and Progressions involving the Vertex rarely have a huge effect on those who do not have planets stimulating the natal Vertex angle. It can just mean meeting those who in some way have an unusual influence on you, and often only for the duration of the transit or direction.
However, for those with a natal Vertex highlighted there is usually one powerful period of destiny in the life that is designed to awaken the person to a wider reality. During this period the Vertex can bring very big events indeed. Christopher Reeve (25 September 1952, 3.12 am New York NY) had natal Vertex conjunct Chiron in Capricorn in wide novile to his Descendant. The natal bi-novile between the Vertex and Saturn (its ruler) described the likelihood of a deep initiation this lifetime. When Vertex-Chiron moved by Solar Arc to his Descendant, and Saturn moved to novile his Vertex, he had an accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down. Christopher Reeve then became a powerful force for stem-cell research that has the potential to radically improve our ability to repair severe injuries."
