Now Neptune dissolves things, causes confusion, illusions and rose tinted glasses especially if in hard aspect to Angles or planets. It can be a spiritual, artistic awakening, but there are not many people who can advance or benefit their lives (unless there is natal potential of course) with Neptune. I use—– 1° approaching, 1° exact and 1° departing. If you click on the link listed below for the online ephemeris it will list all planets at any given time. Learning astrology is like learning a new ‘language’ and obviously the more effort you put linto something the more your knowledge and understanding will increase. Slight problem I have with astro.com is they use 10’app 10’ exact and 10’ departing. I tend to reduce the orb ratio down (found in Extended Chart selection) to 85% to bring them in line with mainstream views..
For ‘timings’ I would look to the retrograde hit as the most important trigger, then look to see what the quicker planets are doing especially mars & mercury —
