Use an 'awoke from coma' chart?

Hello there. I was wondering how valid and useful the chart is that denotes when I awoke from a coma. I’m a Virgo but woke up when the Sun was in Leo. I’d sure like to get some opinions on how I should treat this chart. Could/should I combine it with my birthchart somehow?

you could create an electional chart, so i suppose it depends on how knowledgeable and experienced you are in astrology?

@saggimc Hello, Saggimc. Unfortunately I am just startin to learn about the various systems, so I know a bit about most of them, but I won’t swear to that in court, lol.

Hallo Donna! I cannot even imagine what it means to wake up from coma, but I would definitely consider it a new life, and would take a good look at the new chart. Ideally you can progress both charts and see how the progressions affect(-ed) your life. Progressions can be at times pretty obvious.

Dear Donna, I would suggest that your physical body can still rely on the old natal chart. I believe that the time that you spent in a coma was a spiritual protection and happened to reset you emotionally and spiritually, so you can live with less pressure and more productively. The potential for freedom is also in your natal chart, but you should also feel completely comfortable using the awake-from-come chart and treat it like the child within you.

I have a pretty clear picture what transits, and what indicators in your natal and progressed chart lead to your accident. It was a buildup of many discomforting and displacing energies. Besides the one mentioned above there are at least 5 more influences that coincided.

The potential for something like this to happen is indicated by your natal Saturn (big teacher) in the 8th house (death) in Pisces (subconsciousness). Your sense of survival and stability (Saturn) in your birthchart is attempting to bring order to your sense of value and your physical self, which is potentially highly ungrounded, eccentric, and extremely hard to integrate at a young tender age ( opposing Uranus – ruler of your 8th house, Sun, Pluto Mercury stellium). Eben though you may think that the orb is to big – once one planet (Mercury in your case) is within a reasonable orb, it connects it to the other wider orbs planets in the stellium.

This is a lot of pressure and it’s like a pressure boiler. Now you had following transits building up (for at least two years) a momentum for something like your accident to happen:

  1. Inability to focus on what you should value in life mixed with messages from the outer world which you were unable to process. Essentially a horrendously chaotic situation. (Uranus squaring your above mentioned stellium)

  2. Inability to take the right action, or difficulties understanding the logic which you should follow when taking your actions. (Like: “What can I do to show that I love him?”) This build up frustration within your physical body. You need physical expression in your relationship, and your drive is strongly belief- and value- influenced. If you can’t articulate this, the pressure builds up. (Mars squaring your stellium in the 2nd)

  3. Inability to communicate your inner self. There was a strong inner need to show far-above-the-average maturity concerning your communication (progressed Mercury opposite your Chiron in your progressed 8th (!) house. Note that both planets are potential rulers of Virgo)

  4. You blindly believed things that were misleading and gave you a false sense of spiritual invincibility (transiting South Node conjoining Neptune)

  5. Discomfort in your living space and being overwhelmed with inability to understand your origins. Basically fear of many suppressed things that needed to come to surface to be cleared. (Pluto transiting nadir)

Hope this resonates a bit. Best!

Greetings, readers. I have a sort of update to this question…

Last week I asked a $5.00 question at AstroMyFriend.com, about whether I should use this new chart somehow. Here’s part of the reply (edited for readibility):

“…The accident was the natural cause of the presence of Uranus in the eighth house and the lord of that eighth house – the sun, which is in a weak 3rd house, making a conjunction with mars, creating the explosive situation in your life during the period. The duration which you have shown at the age of years 20 was the period of moon and sun that caused the accident for you. But Saturn and Rahu have played a vital role in saving your life as it is clearly indicated in your real birth chart. As an ascendant Saturn is powerful in your chart that has saved your life and given you long life. Rahu is being placed in sixth house is giving victory to you over diseases and enemy and that has dragged you out of the coma. So you need to follow your birth chart only…”

Now I have absolutely no idea about the details of Vedic Astrology, but I’m happy to stick with just my birth chart! I guess I trust Vedic Astrology for some reason – I think it’s just respecting the fact that it’s been in use 4-ever. OK, now I’m off to look up Rahu…ooommmmmm, ooommmmmm…(–:

PS: Here it talks about me having Saturn rule my Chart Ascendant, but all the Western programs give me a Leo (Sun) Ascendant – but a Capricorn Rising kind of makes sense if I think about my past, always wanting to build something…go figure!

Interesting. Donna, could you please also share your original birth time and place data (or post your natal chart) so I can take a look at your transits, progressions, solar and lunar charts. Thanks.

And I wasn’t sure how to get the link for the natal chart I have at ImageShack.com, so here is the copied code for Websites (I found it last time…..grrr)…

Please let me know if you can/cannot access it, and I’ll try again.

Wow, that was a great interpretation. As they say in Britain, “you are BANG on!” I can pinpoint each and every example you provided, as far as what was happening to me at the time – stuck at home, only child, parental fist fights every week, got a full time job while I was going to college full time with a major and two minors, and having a passionate affair with a frat brother – he was the Pledge Master and I was the Pledge Mother of Delta Phi Epsilon (this was in the 1980s), and darned if we didn’t have the best time ‘using’ our Pledges to play tricks upon people, and each other. But yes, I can see now (even without knowing anything about astrology), that there was probably too much on my plate and I was ready to go POP. This sort of takes the ‘blame’ away from the “terrible outside world that did this to me,” and puts it both on myself and the stars (darn, no more excuses, lol). Thanks for the well thought out explanation.
